About Us
Originally inspired by the richness and beauty of light filtering through stained glass that we saw while living in West Germany, we decided to learn this age old art.
Since 1996 we have been working as a husband and wife team creating window panels, stepping stones, suncatchers, fused pieces and jewelry in our home studio. We work from our own original designs, from commercial designs, and from pictures, sketches or ideas to create a one-of-a-kind piece.
Denis:
My background is Canadian Airforce where I spent close to thirty years as an aviation technician; about half of those years as an instructor.
My hobbies have included skiing – both downhill and cross-country, scuba diving, woodworking/cabinet making, and stained glass. I am no longer able to ski, scuba dive or woodwork so for the last ten years, I have delved into stained glass with a passion.
Joanne:
My background is in IT, specifically system testing and website design. I love working on websites and doing research on the web.
My hobbies have included skiing – downhill and cross-country, sewing, needlework, pottery, wood carving, stained glass art and fused glass art.
My true love remains with wood carving, stained glass and fused glass art.
As you can see from our website, many of our subjects are animal related. Our inspiration has always been our pets - three greyhounds and a poodle (who likes to think he runs the place).
We have been supporters of Greyhound Adoption throughout Canada and the United States for many years and are often seen at hound events.
Our stained glass art and fused glass art creations are only limited by imagination.
